Training Philosophy

Kathleen has enjoyed national and regional success as both a trainer and coach in the disciplines of reined cow horse and ranch horse versatility in NRCHA, AQHA, SHOT, NRHA, PHBA, CRCA, RMRHA, RMQHA, IBHA, MHBHA, & CPEA.

Kathleen is a regional and national leader in ASHA and its local affiliate COWN, in the discipline of ranch horse versatility. In addition, she has been a top10 competitor in regional AQHA ranch horse versatility.

She has earned thousands of dollars in prize money in NRCHA and NRHA as well as won multiple World and National titles in both reining and working cow horse. Kathleen has a sincere desire to help riders and owners develop and realize goals for themselves and their horses.

Through years of experience, education, and an inborn LOVE of horses, I have developed a training program that strives to maximize an individual horse’s performance potential. I customize and modulate different methods to fit the individual, thereby developing a unique combination of training techniques based on the individual; rather than forcing the horse to fit a prescribed formula. I won’t brutalize a horse into doing something he or she wasn’t made to do. I want happy horses who love their job.
